Since its beginning as a UAB research group, AERIS has developed and implemented multiple biological and physicochemical technologies for the treatment and valorization of a wide range of liquid and solid effluents.
Among others, AERIS develops advanced technologies for the following processes:
- Purification of waters with high organic matter content
- Treatment of nutrients (ammonium, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate…) in residuals water
- Industrial residuals water decolorization
- Processing of urban and industrial WWTP sludge for energy generation
- Water purification for reuse
The selection of processes for the treatment and recovery of wastewater and solids is consistently based on the quality of the waste effluent and the intended post-treatment utilization. Aeris can design, build, and operate a wide variety of technologies for this purpose, in many cases exclusive to the company. Among these technologies we have different biological, physical, chemical processes and combinations of these. The advantages of these processes are:
